Purpose of the President's Advisory Council

The purpose of the President's Advisory Council is to advise the President of Saint Paul College on the budget, long-range planning, policy development, facilities, marketing, and public issues.

The President's Advisory Council is made up of business, industry, government, and community leaders.

Meetings Dates
The President's Advisory Council meetings will be held from 4:00pm - 5:30pm, on the following dates:

  • Thursday, September 29, 2022
  • Thursday, November 17, 2022
  • Thursday, January 12, 2023
  • Thursday, March 9, 2023
  • ​Thursday, May 4, 2023
By-Laws

President’s Advisory Council members may be appointed upon the recommendation of the President of Saint Paul College and any council member.

The Saint Paul Board of Education representative will be a current Board member. The Saint Paul College Student Senate representative will be currently enrolled at the College as a student. Both representatives will serve on the President’s Advisory Council until they no longer serve on the Board or Student Senate. At that time, a new representative will be seated.

Business will be conducted using the Informal Procedure of Robert’s Rules of Order.

The Council shall meet no less than four (4) times within the academic year with additional meetings being called as needed by the Chairperson with appropriate notice.

President’s Advisory Council guidelines will be reviewed each year at the Fall meeting.

President Advisory Council Chairperson Duties

The Chairperson serves a one-year term and shall convene regularly scheduled President Advisory Council meetings (at least four times a year). The chair shall:

  • Develop the meeting agenda in collaboration with the College President/CEO
  • Call and run the meetings
  • Facilitate President Advisory Council meetings and conversations at the meetings
